Nate JonesSports Performance Coach

    Nate Jones got his start in coaching as an assistant football and head strength coach at
    his alma mater, Yutan High School, where he coached the school’s first state
    championship team and was a finalist for the Nebraska High School Strength Program
    of the Year. During his four years at Yutan, he mentored several All-State football
    players and helped the team reach the playoffs in three out of four years. After his stint
    at Yutan, Jones went on to coach football and assist in strength & conditioning at
    Midland University, where he mentored an All-Conference and All-American player in
    consecutive seasons. Jones helped MU to a winning record each year and assisted in
    all football strength & conditioning activities as well as other sports as needed.
    Jones began as an intern at The Xplosive Edge in November 2016 and later joined the X-
    Edge staff as a part-time strength coach. After leaving for Midland for two years, he
    returned to X-Edge in a full-time sports performance role in 2019.

    Nate graduated with a B.A. from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2015 where he played
    football, and with a M.S. from Midland University in 2020 where he coached. Jones is an
    NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a USAW-Sports Performance
    Coach.
