Mitch Brown is a performance specialist for Going Vertical here in Omaha, where he works with youth, developmental, high school and elite college athletes. Prior to joining the staff at GV, he is a volunteer baseball coach for both high school and adult men’s leagues here in Omaha for the past 5 years. While working with these leagues he served as an assistant coach and head strength and conditioning specialist.
In his addition to working with athletes Mitch has also worked extensively with organizations such as UNO swim coaching, practicum teaching assistant and as a track and field volunteer. Prior to working with Going Vertical, Mitch served as an intern for the company during the summer of 2016 where he followed the other head trainers and learned from the best about issues regarding strength/conditioning/rehabilitation and nutrition.
Mitch earned his Bachelors in Science with a concentration on Exercise Science and Kinesiology at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Within the next year of employment Mitch hopes to start the Master’s program in Education at UNO. He is currently working on becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
